By using CoHome, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. About CoHome
CoHome is an app for organizing shared life among families and groups. It offers features such as calendar, lists, documents, contacts, finances, shared location (when enabled), and other modules.
Some features may be available for free, while additional functionality may require a Premium subscription.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account and profile data
We may collect:
- Email address and credentials required for authentication;
- Display name;
- Avatar photo (optional);
- App preferences such as language, currency, time zone, and notification settings.
2.2 Content you and your family members create
Depending on the features you use, we may process:
- Calendar events and appointments;
- Lists and tasks;
- Uploaded documents and files;
- Contacts (such as schools, doctors, and service providers);
- Financial transactions, goals, and categories;
- Meal plans, recipes, and meals;
- Health-related information (such as medications, vaccines, and profiles);
- Notices and messages on the family board;
- Routines and chores;
- Saved places and addresses.
This content is linked to your family space and may be viewed by authorized members of that space, according to permissions set by family administrators.
2.3 Location data (optional)
If you enable location features and grant the required permissions, we may collect approximate or precise device location, including background location when you enable continuous sharing so authorized members can see you on the map.
You can stop sharing and revoke location permissions at any time in the app or device settings.
2.4 Camera, photos, and files (optional)
When you choose to and grant device permission, we may access photos used as avatars, photos and documents uploaded to the documents module, and files you select for upload.
2.5 Push notifications (optional)
We may use device identifiers to send notifications related to events, tasks, medications, board updates, and other reminders you configure. Notifications can be disabled at any time.
2.6 Google Calendar integration (optional – Premium features)
If you connect your Google account, we may access events from selected calendars for display in CoHome, the email associated with the Google account, and technical identifiers needed to maintain the integration. CoHome uses this integration for read-only display; we do not modify events in your Google account.
2.7 Calendar file import (.ics)
If you use this feature, we process the selected file content to convert it into events within the app.
2.8 AI Assistant (optional)
When you use the CoHome AI Assistant, we may process your messages, limited context needed to respond (such as calendar or list summaries from enabled modules), and technical identifiers related to session and usage limits. Messages may be processed by third-party AI providers. Avoid sharing overly sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.
2.9 Subscriptions and payments
If you purchase Premium, we may process purchase identifiers, subscription status, and the product purchased. Payments are processed by Google Play. CoHome does not store full credit card data. Subscription information may also be managed through RevenueCat.
2.10 Technical and usage data
We may collect technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, including error logs, device and app version information, session identifiers, and AI Assistant usage limits.
3. How we use data
We use collected data to:
- Create and manage your account;
- Operate app features;
- Sync information among members of the same family;
- Send notifications and reminders when authorized;
- Provide integrations you request;
- Process subscriptions and trial periods;
- Operate the AI Assistant;
- Ensure service security and prevent abuse;
- Comply with legal obligations;
- Improve stability and user experience.
Legal basis (where applicable): contract performance, consent, legitimate interest, and legal obligation.
4. Sharing with third parties
CoHome does not sell personal data.
We may share information only with service providers necessary to operate the app, including Supabase (auth, database, storage, backend), Google (maps, address search, authentication, Google Calendar, notifications), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Google Play (purchases), AI providers (Assistant requests), and Expo/push delivery services. Family content may be viewed by authorized members within the app.
5. Storage, retention, and security
Data is stored in cloud infrastructure with HTTPS/TLS encryption. We retain data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. After account or family space deletion, data may be deleted or anonymized within reasonable technical timeframes, unless retention is required by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, information about sharing, and portability where applicable. Contact: rodrigoandreata10@gmail.com
7. Children
CoHome allows guardians to create child profiles or add minors under family supervision. The app is not intended for independent use by children without parental or legal guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without guardian participation or authorization.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside your country. We adopt appropriate contractual and technical measures to ensure a level of protection compatible with applicable law.
9. Premium subscriptions and trial
CoHome may offer promotional free trial periods. After the trial, certain features may require Premium. Prices and terms are shown on Google Play. Guests in a family with an active subscription may use Premium features available to that group. Cancellations and refunds follow Google Play policies.
10. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The date at the top indicates the latest version. When required by law, material changes may be communicated through the app or by email.
